ALTRONIC INC.
Altronic Inc. has released the Detonation Sensing Monitors (DET-1600 and DET-1620), 24VDC-powered, 32-bit microprocessor-based electronic instruments designed for use on natural gas-fueled engines to detect detonation and misfire and avoid consequential engine damage. Industry-standard, low-cost, piezoelectric vibration sensors are mounted directly on the engine and are used to transform the vibrations caused by combustion into electrical signals, which are then evaluated by the DET device. These values–generated for every cylinder on a cycle-by-cycle basis are then measured against misfire and detonation setpoints configured by the user for the monitored engine.

JAEGGI/GUENTNER US HEAD OFFICE
Jaeggi’s Swiss-engineered hybrid dry cooler system is highly efficient, using less electricity and up to 80% less water. This yields immense savings and a long-term hedge against rising utility costs. The ideal choice for retrofit or new installations, this wise investment combines advantages of evaporative cooling and dry cooling. While an individual cooler can deliver up to 500 nominal evaporative tons, multiple units can be combined for larger installations, using Jaeggi’s HYBRIMASTER control. (Note: Based on 15,000 BTU per hour, evaporative tons are defined as 3 GPM per ton of fresh water cooled from 95°F to 85°F with a 78°F entering wet-bulb temperature.)
