Powerit Solutions New Spara Release Begins Cleantech Company's Move To The Cloud
(SEATTLE, March 27, 2012) -- Powerit Solutions today launched an upgrade to Spara EMS® that marks a significant milestone on the energy management system’s path into the cloud.
Spara 2.4 contains regular updates and—more significantly—begins the product’s migration into a cloud-based, or hosted, industrial energy platform. This is a key step in Powerit’s plan to scale its solution, based on a product roadmap developed in 2011. The company plans to roll out its hosted platform by early next year.

Spara will connect users instantly to the latest utility rate schedules and programs as well as aggregator demand response programs. The hosted platform will give users a web portal that provides real-time visibility into energy use across facilities, allows benchmark comparisons, and makes it easy for Powerit and its partners to help customers reduce energy consumption and costs even further. The hosted platform also will ensure that customers always have the latest software.
For partners, the hosted platform will allow more flexible connections to Spara.
