ALTRONIC
Altronic has completed field trials of the CD200D Digital Ignition System. Designed for universal application on virtually any medium- or high-speed gas engine, the 12-24 VDC-powered CD200D is available in eight, 12, and 16 output configurations. The CD200D is a camshaft-triggered device, but is uniquely capable of accepting angular position inputs from either a camshaft-mounted magnet disc and Hall-effect pickup, or through a magnetic pickup monitoring position holes drilled into the engine camshaft. Housed in a cast aluminum enclosure, the CD200D is suitable for direct engine mounting. Manual, one-step, and 4-20mA-driven timing control adjustment is resident in all systems, as are LED-based operating diagnostics.

The SFGM series utilizes the current configuration, but, with the incorporation of the Miller cycle, Guascor can achieve higher power ratings and better efficiencies. Utilizing this technology, Guascor has also developed the SFGM propane engine series. The HGM series or High Efficiency series is a completely new engine that Guascor developed with the support of AVL, also utilizing the Miller cycle. This series has electrical efficiencies above 40%, and NOx emissions at or below 250 mg Nm3.

LECTRUS
Lectrus recently completed a unique custom metal enclosure at Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS), Nebraska Public Power District’s largest single unit electrical power generation station. CNS commissioned Interstate Power Systems—who in turn contracted with the Lectrus South Dakota Operation—to build a large, two-piece sound-attenuated metal enclosure for a backup diesel generator, switchgear, and associated electrical equipment. The new diesel generator will supplement the station’s two emergency diesel generators already in service. Lectrus specializes in the design and construction of robust electrical enclosures that house and protect power distribution and generation equipment.
