Reuse Efficiency

By: Elizabeth Cutright Comments

As I stated in my recent editorial, water and energy are inextricably linked, in part because of the amount of energy needed to collect, treat, and delivery potable water. Within this context, water reuse and reclamation is the secret energy efficiency weapon, both as a tool to reduce the amount of water pulled from strained water resources, and also as a way to monitor and improve water quality.

I’m currently in Phoenix attending the 26th annual WateReuse Symposium. While I flit from presentation to presentation and gather up a canvas bag full of information on the latest and most successful water reuse projects and technologies, let’s pause and take a look back at some of the focusing on the connection between water and energy that we ran in the magazine in the last year:

Inspiring Efficiency

Bridge the Gap

Winds of Change

A Powerful Partnership

Network Redundancy

Cost Control

From Possible to Probable

Low Risk, High Returns

I’ll be posting updates from the event online on Water Efficiency’s Facebook page and via twitter—so check back for all the latest event news.
