Little Rock, Ark. – Energy Systems Group (ESG) has been awarded an energy performance contract by the City of Conway, Arkansas to design and install facility improvements that reduce energy consumption and address deferred maintenance issues in several City buildings. The energy performance agreement guarantees energy savings over a 15-year period will cover the cost of building improvements.

Improvements being made under the program include lighting system upgrades to high efficiency lamps and ballasts, the installation of occupancy sensors to enhance energy savings, new high efficiency heating and ventilation equipment to replace aged equipment, and installation of a computerized energy management system to ensure optimal use of heating and ventilation equipment when facilities are unoccupied. The façade of City Hall will be renovated with the installation of new window-tinting, awnings and blinds, and an irrigation well system will be installed at First-State Soccer Park to allow the City to use well water for irrigation instead of more costly treated water from the local utility.
