With the growing interest and demand for “Green Power” alternatives, small wind systems typically installed at homes, businesses and farms have increased in number and generating capacity. The introduction of the Phase Perfect grid-tie wind power converter allows locations that only have a single-phase utility service to connect a three-phase induction wind generator to the grid and take advantage of net metering.

Phase Perfect grid-tie wind power converters provide an efficient, reliable and affordable means of converting the output of three-phase wind generators to single-phase power. Utilizing a unique patented circuit design, only about half the generated power must be processed through Phase Perfect’s double IGBT conversion system, which improves the efficiency of the converter to 97% typical. This also reduces component cost to help keep the converter affordable. Phase Perfect converters are bi-directional, allowing the utility to power the generator and keep it on line during brief periods of low wind speed. The converter also utilizes electronic power factor correction, so that the utility grid connection always operates at unity power factor regardless of the power factor of the generator.

Models up to 80 KVA in capacity are UL listed and available in outdoor rated enclosures.

Phase Technologies, LLC designs and manufactures innovative electronic products based on power switching technologies. A broad line of products provide customers with solutions in phase conversion, power conditioning, grid-tie wind power converters and other specialized converters for military applications.
